Health Connector+

HealthConnector+ was a mock design exercise I conducted to demonstrate my design skills during a late-round review for a UI/UX designer position at a design firm.

HealthConnector+ is a fictional healthcare service provider that connects patients with service providers in their area. The website for HealthConnector+ needed to inspire confidence in the quality of care and professionalism of the company. The website specifically needed to include profiles for specific providers, customer testimonies, as well as relevant information and easy navigation.

I designed the interface under a 6 hour time limit and created all screens, animations, and assets in Figma.

Inspiring confidence

I needed the initial homepage to convey professionalism and competency to inspire confidence in the users. I used a header image of a child receiving care to convey care for patients of all kinds, specifically editing the photo with a blur effect to draw focus to the human aspects of the provided service.

Action Hierarchies

Immediately after the attention-grabbing header, I displayed a series of quick actions that allow users to complete the most vital tasks with ease. Across the interface, I used my interaction design skills to animate button hover states and transitions that reinforce the branding while instilling confidence in the brand’s efficiency.

Testimonials

One way I conferred professionalism and reliability was through the inclusion of testimonials. These showcase “real world” examples of users who have benefitted from the service. They ground the brand in reality while demonstrating the brand’s positive qualities.

utility and professionalism

The inclusion of doctor profiles serves two purposes: first, as a final reminder of the professional and reliable quality of service from HealthConenct+, and second as an easy way to connect users with doctors. This two-fold purpose is the core of the interface design, combining branding presentation with utility for the user.
